Tips For Beating The Summer Heat. The summertime sun can take it's toll on anglers who spend a lot of time on the water.Dangerous heat related illnesses such as severe sunburn, heat exhaustion or heat stroke can be avoided if anglers take some precautionary measures. The following tips will help you beat the heat during a summer fishing trip.PROTECT-your arms and legs from sun exposure by wearing loose fitting, long sleeve cotton shirts and long pants.FILL-your cooler with plenty of ice and bottled water.WEAR-a wide brimmed hat or a baseball cap to protect your head and face from the sun.APPLY-sunscreen to any part of your skin that will be exposed to the sun and use a lip protector sunscreen for your lips.KEEP-a couple of ties in your cooler and wrap one around your neck when you start feeling too hot.

The Original Rapala floating minnow is a very versatile bass lure as when fished slowing or with a jerking retrieve the lure will stay on top. Increase the speed of retrieve and it will dive. When fishing stained or dirty water try using a larger lure

As the 2007 seasons came to an end, Rapala Teams finished strong once again. In the North County Bass Anglers Association Classic (Ontario), Chris Giles & Jim Dodd took the podium once again. Jim and Chris finished of a great season after winning 2 of the 4 events in the series. Jim & Chris also took home Team of the Year Honours.
